Open Streets Windsor 2022: Sandwich Hub

Open Streets is back on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and we want you to join us in the Sandwich Towne Hub!
It’s a neighbourhood-style block party with tons of interactive games, including giant Volley Pong, Skee Puck, mini-golf, checkers, giant Jenga, Connect Four, face painting, balloon twists, special guest appearances and more!
We’ll host the Sandwich Towne Market on the street and you’ll be able to purchase sausages and goodies from Olde Towne Bake Shoppe or stop by one of our patios!
Keep your eyes on the prize and snap a unique shot of the Sandwich Towne Hub! Tag us in the photo on Facebook or Instagram with the #sandwichtowne for a chance to win a prize!

What is Open Streets about?
Open Streets are unique events that have been held in over 100 cities in North America and involve the temporary closure of roadways to vehicular traffic, allowing people to use them for a host of healthy and fun physical activities like walking, cycling, yoga, dancing and fitness.
The goals of Open Streets Windsor are to:
- Encourage active transportation and physical activity;
- Encourage community-building activities;
- Promote community-led active living initiatives;
- Showcase recently improved streetscapes;
- Provide an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to participate along the route.

Are motorized vehicles permitted?
- Permitted: Dogs (we’ve also witnessed pet cats & birds on the streets!), mobility aids, emergency vehicles and authorized staff/service vehicles are permitted.
- Prohibited: Recreational motorized vehicles (including e-bikes) are prohibited along the Open Streets route.
